Girl buys overpriced Taylor Swift tour ticket from coworker only for them to demand she gives it back after they find a higher bidder: ‘Not in your wildest dreams’

The price of attending a concert has skyrocketed in recent years so much so that it turned what used to be a relatable experience into an exclusive event. It can be extremely disappointing for fans to passionately wait for the opportunity to go see their favorite artist live, only to be met with ticket prices that could rival a plane ticket to the other side of the world.

For many young adults these days, that favorite artist is Taylor Swift, much like the writer of this Reddit story. OP (original poster) has bought a ticket for the eras tour from her coworker for the mere price of $700, which apparently isn't considered a lot. Months after she bought the ticket, that same coworker contacts OP and tells her she needs the ticket back because someone else bought it for $2700. Feeling robbed, OP is inclined to refuse, or at least demand to receive the profit from that other sale.

    IF you returned the ticket she would get $2700 from Stub Hub and still have the $700 you paid her in November. ALL of that $2700 should be given to you, IF you return the ticket.

    Not saying you should return the ticket, but if you do then you should get the $2700 and she keeps the money from November that she was happy with at the time. Her mistake, that is causing you a serious detriment, should not net her a single penny more than she already received.

    You deserve the full sale price from Stub Hub and hopefully you can find a ticket and at least be able to attend the show. Also, I wouldn't want anyone to question whether she really forget to remove the Stub Hub listing or left it up hoping that as the prices climb closer to the concert date
